Suzanne Tremblay’s interest in yoga started while in India, doing her Masters in Religious Studies in the early 1980s. Years later, she took her first yoga class in Shirley Daventry-French’s studio in Metchosin. Suzanne continues to study under master teachers while teaching and managing the Metchosin Yoga. Suzanne is humbled to continue the tradition of teaching Iyengar yoga in Metchosin.
Linda Benn has been studying yoga with Shirley Daventry-French and many other senior teachers since 1980 and been teaching since 1987. She is a member of the Teacher Training Committee. Iyengar Yoga enriches her life, her practice and her teaching.
Johanna Godliman grew up in Britain, gaining a degree in Fine Art/ Performance. After teaching and performing Dance and Martial Arts her interest in education through movement, led her to become a certified FM Alexander Teacher. Certified through the Iyengar Yoga Centre of Victoria, Johanna continues to study with Senior teachers with visiting International teachers.
Greg Sly is a musician in the Royal Canadian Navy, where he plays the trumpet. Greg has been involved in yoga for nearly 30 years and is now returning to his love of teaching Iyengar yoga after a hiatus to take care of his family. Greg joined Metchosin Yoga in January 2017 and teaches the Men’s class. He continues to train with senior teachers and visiting master teachers.
